Visiting Our Clinic
Complimentary Consultation
Curious if Tucson Acupuncture Health is right for you? I offer a complimentary ten-minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns and explore how my approach can meet your needs.
Your First Visit
Your initial visit will last about 90 minutes. After a thorough discussion of your health concerns and a physical examination, you’ll relax on a massage table while the needles are inserted for 20-30 minutes, allowing the treatment to take effect. Depending on your needs, additional Chinese medical techniques like tuina (Chinese massage), moxibustion (heat therapy), cupping, or guasha may be suggested. I will discuss these options with you if applicable.
Before your visit, you’ll receive an appointment confirmation with a link to complete your health history form. Please fill out these forms online, or arrive 20 minutes early to complete them in the office. If you have relevant blood tests, scans, or other lab results, please bring them along for review.
Treatment
The Acupuncture Experience
Acupuncture is extremely safe when performed by licensed professionals. We use thin, sterile needles that are disposed of after each use. Patients often describe sensations of tingling, warmth, or heaviness, with many experiencing deep relaxation or increased energy after treatment. While some therapeutic changes may be immediate, others might not be felt for a few hours or even days.
Tips For Your Acupuncture Treatments
● Eat a light meal within a few hours before your treatment.
● Avoid alcohol on the day of your treatment.
● Don’t overeat immediately before your appointment.
● Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water afterward.
● Avoid strenuous activity right after your session.
● Keep track of how you feel after each treatment, as this feedback helps tailor future sessions to your progress.
Typical Course of Treatment
The number of treatments varies based on the severity of your condition and your overall health. Acute issues may resolve after just a few sessions, while chronic conditions often require a longer course of care. Many patients notice positive changes after just one treatment. Initially, treatments are recommended weekly, though some acute cases may need 2-3 sessions per week. As symptoms improve, the frequency is reduced to every other week or once a month for maintenance and prevention.
After your first visit, I’ll discuss a personalized treatment plan tailored to your specific health needs.

Payment, Cancellation & Insurance
Payment Policy
Payment is due at the time of service. Five Seasons accepts cash, check, Venmo or credit card.
Cancellation Policy
To ensure fair compensation for my time, I require at least 24 business hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment at no charge. Missed appointments or cancellations within 24 hours will be charged the full session price. Sunday and Monday appointments must be canceled by the previous Friday.
Please understand that last-minute cancellations make it difficult for me to serve others, and the likelihood of filling that time slot with less than 24 hours' notice is low.
Examples of Late Cancellations:
• Changes in work schedule
• Child care issues
• Travel delays (flights, traffic, etc.)
• Illness
If you know someone who is already a patient at Tucson Acupuncture Health, they can take your appointment. If I’m able to fill your session within 24 hours, I won’t charge the cancellation fee. You may also reschedule for a same-day appointment if one is available.
